Ducati 900SS build - September 26, 2018, 08:53 AM

Hey guys! I'm super excited about my latest project bike and I just wanted to share it with you! 1996 Ducati SS900 "CR" (Cafe Racer). I picked her up from a nice old man up in Frederick for a grand. All the parts were there, but she was completely torn down to the frame and the engine was partially taken apart. It took us about three weeks of messing around with her, putting her together and whatnot. Other than a new chain and tires (dude put Shinkos on it - I mean, c'mon man. That's like putting ketchup on a steak) we didn't spend anything more on her. Completely stock and damn near mint. Check it out!

Here's the link to the build on FB: https://www.facebook.com/BrooksCycle...type=3&theater

Beautiful result! Great to see one of these neglected classics get some TLC.

I had a 93 SS/SP and I loved it. Well, loved it for the 6 days I had it. Totalled it after leaving the kickstand down and taking off from a gas station.

Safety was of no concern to the EYE-talians back then! There was a light on the dash...but luckily, the EYE-talians didn't care to make them bright enough to be seen during the day either.

Worst pain I have ever experienced was the shoulder separation I was awarded for my efforts to highside @ 55mph after the kickstand dug in.

And I've had motorcycle accidents that landed me in ICU for a week.
