You sure can. Those exercises definitely help.


But the fact of the matter is if you don't partake in a certain activity often enough you get rusty. Some track day riders or roadracers only hit the track a couple or a few times a year. Whereas professionals on TV are at it all the time. Constantly doing something lowers the heart rate. You don't do tight lipped stiff bodied stuff like tunnel vision, bang on the rev limiter etc.


Bringing people down to the bowling alley it takes some people a while to be able to "just let go" even when they are barely going 150 or 160. Do it all the time and your sense of speed changes. Where 200 feels like 150. And 150 feels like...taking a nap.
