I have just over 470,000 miles across a wide assortment of street/dual sport bikes. I've never had a crash, accident or incident from street riding.

Dirt/Trials/Track riding has left me with a few broken wrists and fingers with lots of strains, sprains and bruises. When I did the TAT back in 2006 I ran the hard/western section with a pulled groin, sprained wrist and broken left pointer finger. I wasn't going to give up at that point.

when I rode my small motos back in the old continent I had a few spills but only lacerations, we didn't wear gear and the helmet remained nicely stowed under the seat, Leo can attest.

I only had a "big" crash on the yamy at the track, was wearing bunch of cow skin so was all good. other crash was at the dragon, on a small vintage bike, not wearing gear, another laceration and a twicked shoulder. that's how you know you had fun.

kids, it pays to go slow.

I still ride and still enjoy it. I don't own my own bike right now but I have plenty of friends that offer me their's primarily since I do most of there maintenance work and they know I am very particular with it. Only down side is my family not happy that I still ride when I do.

I wrecked my Go-ped pretty spectacularly when I was a kid/younger kid. I was going along a bike path the go-ped top speed of about 20mph +/-. Up ahead was a 10 ft patch of several inch thick gravel laid over the bike path. I attempted to cross it at max speed which resulted in my front tire digging into the gravel and me being propelled into the gravel. I ended up getting several large pieces of gravel embedded in my palms. It took a few minutes to dig out the rocks from my bare hands. After that gravel incident I never looked at gravel the same way when traveling on my mighty go-ped.

this is a go-ped if anyone is wondering

David does not ride defensively, anyone who is ever ridden with him knows, he is one asian lady away from a spill.
