Now I know why they say leave the speed for the track : ( fixed* - September 1, 2008, 12:54 PM

Meet Poppy..

Poppy is a 4 year old, Male turkey buzzard. Poppy Lived in Southern Anne Arundel County.. In his spare time he liked to clean Anne Arundel counties roads, Fly high, Site see, and Vandalize motorcycles..

I was coming around a long wide turn yesterday, entered at about 75 and started to excel through it.. I got to around 85 coming around the bend and this big bastard flew out in front of me.. I braced my self and balled up so the impact wouldnt throw me off.. He went through my windshield into my helmet, braking it..

I pulled over immediatley. As I put the kick stand down it hit me.. I went to get off of the bike and lost it.. Felt like someone had hit me in the head with a bag of sand. Everything right after was havy.. def. a story to remember and tell to my kids.. lol

It gave me a concusion and a fractured finger. YES!. Needless to say im more upset about the windshield.. lol The helmet was getting replaced, but now i look like a goone riding around lol.

all joking aside.. Although I got my bell rung and my head hurts like hell, along with an achy neck and finger, im very thankful it wasnt worst.

On a side note, Im use to my new boots and loving every second of them : )

Note that im 6'3", 195lbs. I streched my arms completely out and still couldnt go as wide as him.

You hit a vulture on your bike with your head? Damn, I'm glad your okay. Those birds are huge. Did you kill it, or did it just fly away?

yeah I can't claim hitting a large bird as of yet... Ive had a hawk confuse me for prey before and swoop down at me That was an interesting event. Otherwise just the occasional small bird and the suicidal squirrels

Glad you're alright, that had to of been a frightful event. Sucks about the windshield, I would have been worried about it also heh

Big thumbs up for keeping it together long enough to get off the road, even if you did just coast to a stop and fell over!
