Sad for all involved. Pulling over to argue with a stranger seldom turns out well. Even if she was 100% justified she's likely spend a lot of time and money defending herself.

My stock advice for road rage: Shake your head and keep on riding. Nothing good comes from escalating or being drawn into an escalation.

I'd like to see her convince a reasonable jury that she was in "fear for her life" but chose to pull over and argue while riding a far more maneuverable and faster vehicle.

And to that end, felt it was necessary to use deadly force during an unarmed physical confrontation in which she was wearing a helmet and armored clothing.

Aggravated Manslaughter.

Sharing some info from the Facebook groups, where she is an active member:

-She's been riding for about a year (at least got her 1st bike less than a year ago)
-She has talked about flashing her gun to a car in a different incident
She also wants you to give her some money.

Aubrey Taylor Bowlin was involved in a road rage altercation while riding her motorcycle on February 8th, 2018 in Milton, WA, just south of Seattle. She was attacked and beaten on the side of the freeway, and had to open fire on the attacker in self defense to end the threat. Because of this, we have created this fund to be used toward legal and medical fees. Any help is very much appreciated.

LOL. Yep. Her defense costs just went up.

I initially raised an eyebrow at the notion of voluntarily pulling over on a highway from a road rage incident and then claiming to be in fear of ones life, but I figured a good defense attorney would make sure the scenario in court played out as follows:

A) Claim the driver was honking at her and she thought there was something wrong with her bike so when the driver pulled off the road she followed to find out what he had seen wrong with her bike. And then got jumped.

-or-

B) Claim driver swerved towards her and it scared her so badly that she pulled over to gather her wits and the driver pulled in after her and jumped her.

If her dumbass prior actions with that gun get to the jury her lawyers are gonna have a much tougher job on their hands.

Based on the info available so far -

Rush hour traffic, stop'n'go.
She was in front, the car behind her.
She came to a stop, the car used the shoulder to pull up next to her.
The driver got out and came at her.
She got off her bike.
Driver attacked her, had her against the barrier, then got her on the ground and was pounding the crap out of her.
Other motorists were witnessing this and stopping to get out and stop the driver.

Side note - For a woman just over 5' and a 110#, if some one pushes you you will go over. Most likely taking the bike with you and may get trapped under it so, yes, when someone is coming at you then you do get off the bike.

jj>krav/tae/karate/everything else except mma based no gi jui jitsu, but classical bjj is superior for self defense because of the collar chokes if the person is clothed, but you cant rely on it. if someone tears out of shit and you only know collar chokes the rape train aint stoppin. you need to know how to hip and rip the arm out the socket etc etc. or shred their knee.

my wife could legitimately kill anyone untrained in under a minute if she wanted to. everyone should do jj, but especially women. it really only takes a few weeks to know how to defend yourself a thousand times better if you take jui jitsu seriously.
