Ok I know there is probably a bunch of threads but I can only check .net on my phone for the time being. Is there any nice curvy routes I could ride on that are relatively nice when it comes to traffic and conditions of the roads? I need to get into the curves more. Noticing some stripes on my tires and I want to wear them off.

If you're in 4th by the time you round turn onto McNair road by the Old Post Chapel, you should be able to make 6th by the time you get to that slight curve. That should wear the strips off.

Unless you want to head up old dominion towards great falls there is not that much. And by the time you get up there post traffic it is going to be getting dark, and those roads at night are not good.

Post traffic, for right hand turns getting off the GW Pkwy onto 395S is kind of fun...I call it running the gauntlet....get lots of space between you and any car getting on the ramp, roll on thru the turn (easily knee down), by the time you hit 395 you have 3 exits and morons going every which way figuring out what lane they need to be in before washington blvd.

I generally hammer it onto 395 and deal with what is front of me as opposed to who may hit me from behind or the side. You do not even really go that fast, just everyone is braking to like 40mph and going 60 or so stuff happens fast.

If I am killed there someday everyone can post that I did it to myself - it is pretty hairy depending on tourist season and clueless drivers. But for a right hand turn it is enjoyable.
