Facking Deers - November 1, 2007, 09:11 AM

I was on Fox Mill Road last night heading to Fair Oaks Mall in my truck, I was movin along pretty good came over a hill and a deer was in the middle of the road, I broke pretty hard, so hard the back end shook, the deer didnt move, there wasnt much runoff to the right so I inched to the right as much as I could and hit the gas to get around it because I wasnt going to be able to stop, it moved forward just a little, and I heard a thump, I smacked its head, I searched all over my left side of my truck and all I could find are some scratches so I got extremely lucky, if I was on the bike, especially if there was a couple of us it might have been a different turn out, I could not stop for a while because there was no where to pull off really so I dont know if it is layin in the road or what but probably not that thing probably took off into the woods

Bad time of year for deer so be careful out there I saw one in my neighborhood last night on the way back from Georgetown and I never see deer in my neighborhood

The deers are horny so they are chasin that deer pssy haha

be careful out there no joke

The late-October through mid-December mating season, during which deer are most active, is rapidly approaching, significantly increasing the chances of deer-vehicle collisions on the road, experts say. During this time of year, male deer become extremely active, even in daylight hours, and aren't shy to dart across a busy thoroughfare,

"Their hormone levels are surging," Blaine said of the males, or bucks. "They're just intent on finding the ladies, so they're not focusing on crossing the street, really."

When I used to ride into work from Purcellville, I usually counted upwards of 30 (sometimes much much more than that) deer standing along the side of the road/in the road on my way into work every morning. Haven't seen one since moving to Sterling.

Doesn't Fairfax hire bowhunters to eliminate them?
