Maryland Roads SUCK int the RAIN!!! - November 4, 2010, 08:52 AM

All you Marylanders bitchin about VA can just suck it when it comes to surface grip in the rain. VA and DC roads have some grip and when braking and accelerating almost no slip unless doing something stupid. MD roads are just plain fucking ice! Can't get on the gas except maybe 20% and braking is just a joke. Sliding just like on ice. Hell cars have the same problem. Tired to get on the gas to make the light at the one lane bridge near Glen Echo and just tire spin so I go to brake and I just slide. Hell I should use tire studs in the rain.

I have never had a problem with MD roads. Perhaps VA roads are the same way, but you don't realize it because you are always sitting in traffic?

Honestly... I drive up 270 every morning and it never fails there is always some butt-hole from VA doing some stupid shit... usually drving under the speed limit in the fast lane. Don't get me wrong, I encounter plenty of shitty MD drivers, but nothing is as steady and dead on reliable as a shitty VA driver every single morning.

But seriously, Dodge, sorry about the crappy roads and the tough drive. I know how bad our roads are and being a shitty ass driver from VA must really compound the situation! oh snap!

I mean shit...
VA better have good roads...they ticket you to death so it should be.

The road conditions generaly = how bad the cops are. (ticketing wise)

VA Cops= BAD so Roads = Great Conditons
MD Cops = sorta in the middle so Roads = Middle
DC Cops = Anything Goes so Roads = Super Shity.

How effective are turn signals if you use them 1.8 seconds prior to turning?

My two pet peeves...cabs stalkin the roads for passengers; going from 35 to a sudden stop and motherfuckers who turn on the blinker as they are changing lanes or turning...thanks for the warning/heads up asswipe.

In contrast, when I take the toll road, the slower drivers in the fast lanes are MD drivers. No joke. Maybe there is a generality of "driving outside your home state makes you a dumbass"?

Unless Tire Rack started selling motorcycle tires you fail!!! I ride everyday! Plus I rarely sit in traffic and I put my foot down to feel the surface and trust me there is a big difference.

Shit every time I get behind a MD driver on my back roads they drive slow as shit, on the phone and weaving all over the place. Most VA drivers let me pass. Plus at least we get speeding ticket's from human's were as you get them from fucking boxes!

From my observations...

Murrland drivers - fast as hell, reckless, no turn signals, talking while driving while drinking a red bull and flipping you off.

VA drivers - slow, can't merge worth a crap, too cautious.

But D.C. area as a whole has douchey drivers. Everyone's so important around here, so rushed, so much better than you, it translates into D.C. drivers being the way they are. MoCo and Loudon county, I'm looking at you!

As far as road quality, WTF IS UP WITH 66?!?!?! It's like a friggin dirtbike track. For being "virginias 270" it sucks. Potholes, uneven pavement. Feels like I'm driving in somalia on there.

Dodge, that was a long time ago... let it go!
Jesus! You answer the phone one time in the middle of a POR ride and this guy can't stop bringing it up!
I told you, my cat was having a hysterectomy and I thought the vet was calling.
