Rt 311 north of Salem, VA? - June 21, 2006, 03:23 PM

heard that this is an incredible twisties road (google maps confirmed it...lots of hairpins) but i'm not 100% clear that it's actually a paved road...at one point it's labeled a "trail." has anyone been around that area, or on that road?

also, where is Deals Gap exactly?

(are they the same road? can you tell i'm noobin it up like crazy today?)

I've been on 311 but only close to Salem for a few miles out. Was definitly paved. (I went to VA Tech so explored a little bit around there).

Can't confirma ll the way to the parkway but I would bet that it is..

311 south of 64 is good. So is rt.6 If you are staying near the BRP almost any road that crosses it will keep you entertained.
