Yep - gone every year for the past 5 years.

Don't ride over your head, enjoy the other roads beyond the dragon, don't ride over your head, enjoy

Don't get too excited and think you're all that after only a few turns. Just take it all the way through the first time at an easy pace. It's like no road you've ever been on. And watch out for Tennessee Tuxedos.

Cool. Well, I'll probably ping you guys when I do head out. I'm sure I'll have questions regarding places to stay, places to eat, etc. One of my coworkers may roll with me. I'll post the info regarding my trip in the event that anyone else wishes to join. Thanks again.

Take a few days off and ride down there. It's worth it. It's basically East Coast Motorcycle Mecca and everyone should go there at least once.

Sadly, each year, there's increasingly more POPO enforcement...

Over rated

There are much better roads in that area than 129. But, you have to ride to get the sticker.

Hokie and I just got back this Sunday from Deals Gap!

Fun place and very nice people!

There is another stretch of Rd. that is even better than Deals Gap that runs through TN and NC.

OK, which one do you think is better than the Gap? I'm sick of people always saying that but never backing it up. Aside from 28, I don't think there's anything better in that area. Objectively speaking, that is the longest stretch of so many tight turns in that area and it's not even close. Cherahola? Whatever... We got BRP here...

... And yes, I have done pretty much all the roads in that area all the way down to No GA. And I do go not just for the Gap, but for general area riding, but you can't really say there is another stretch of road that is as twisty for that long in that area. It's not true.
