Angry VA Isn't Very Motorcycle Friendly - April 25, 2009, 08:09 PM

Just my experience riding in this state vs Hawaii, all of New England, South Dakota. The roads are not very clean. The large gray gravel rocks that don't get cleaned up after road work. The sand on the roads from the winter. I hate riding at night where I can't see the rocks. It drives me nuts!

Sorry had to vent!

Hawaii was great especially H3 if I remember correctly from front gate of MCBH to Honolulu!

forget the roads drivers and some VSP are worse. Although not all VSP are bad, I have met a few (who didnt give me tickets and a retired MSgt) that are cool.

Bright lights and loud pipes still aint enough.

Ya H3 was nice. I loved riding around the west side-the smell of all the pineapples lol. And no tourists!

If I see a car or bike with a MD tag....I drop a gear.

Does MD just hand out licenses at sporting events? MD has the worst drivers in the world.Carpet Bomb that unforsaken state!

Ever been to PG? Baltimore? Driven on 495 in MD? Good luck in a car, much less a bike.

MD hands down has the worst drivers in the world!

I live in Old Town Alexandria and I can drive 5 minutes and be in Appalachia aka PG county

ALL MY HEROES ARE RUSSIAN...GO CAPS!

Well you see, Norm, itís like thisÖA herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.-Cliff Claven
