Talking Assistance - Chain - July 15, 2009, 08:40 AM

I have ordered a new chain/sprockets, hopefully to arrive early next week...

Anyone have a chain breaker/set tool that I can borrow? Or want to come by drink some beer, have a burger on the grill and help with changing out these parts?

I cook good burger and always have good beer!!!

Thanks in advance!!

I don't have a chain tool, but I always have room for a burger and beer.

If your new chain = master link all you need is a set of bolt cutters or a dremel to cut the old one off. Then there is no tool required for the new chain. But if its rivet style you need the tool.

i think what he is trying to say is that if your new chain is the clip style , you dont need a chain tool. but if it is like most good did or ek chains its more than likely a rivet style master link. most of the time u need to remove a link or two to make it fit right anyway, lemme know if you need some help
