Smile Dropped 10lbs on my R6 - September 14, 2010, 01:20 PM

That's right.

A simple exhaust swap on my '07 R6 eliminated 10 unwanted pounds and gave me some additional HP. Not sure how much, cause I didn't dyno before the swap. But after swapping the exhaust for aftermarket headers, GYTR can & BMC filter, she dyno'ed at 109.75 @ RnR.

Having a PCIII installed this week to even out the air/fuel mixture and hopefully gain another hp or two.

That is pretty good. My bone stock R6 with full exhaust, filter, block off plates and Bazzaz made 113

I never said you were going to eat it. I was just going to pack it all in your shiny new exhaust, all 10lbs of it.

MJSperformance headers & GYTR can. MJS basically takes stock headers, cuts off the cat and welds in a Y pipe. I needed a cheap option. Not racing, so I couldn't really justify spending $900-$1,500 on a full exhaust.
