So this might be a stupid question, so pardon my ignorance here - this is my first run in with steel lines.

I ordered Galfer steel lines for the front of my '03 954RR. I just got the kit today, and it looks like it only comes with steel lines that go from the Y splitter on the fork to the calipers. This still leaves about a 10" OEM rubber hose from the brake itself to the top of the Y splitter. Was I incorrect in assuming that this kit would fully replace all the factory rubber lines with steel lines, or is this pretty standard? Should I have looked at different brands of replacements that replace the entire system for better performance?

thanks for the info.

Its a total replacement, there is just no y-splitter. Just run both lines from the master cylinder to the calipers. They should reach unless they sent you the wrong lines.

Yup, like I said, you are now entering a Moron zone. Thank you for your stay (and help)!

I did the same exact thing. I thought something was missing.
