Is there any way that both bulbs will work in low beam? I have an '02 cbr600. It seems that the new trend is only to have one headlamp on with low and both with high. Any suggestions?

Is there a purpose for this type of setup?

I am also curious... why do they do that? I think lizzerd comes from my school of thinking, where if I have two headlights I want them to both come on at the same time.

Single filament bulbs are alot cheaper than dual filament. It also requires less electronics, relays, resistors, etc
Both bulbs are dual-filament H7 type bulbs. One just does not have the low beam circuit wired to it.

Basically, to get around this connect a piece of wire to the low beam wire of the active circuit and connect it to the nonfunctioning bulb. Honda has some funky bulb socket adapter things that a lot of other bikes don't so I'd have to have a CBR to look at to explain exactly how to do it.

If I see a CBR when I'm in town Saturday I'll figure it out.

Christ Travis! If you want them both on, turn your freakin' high beams on. Honda did it to help you out.
If I was Christ Travis, I would just say "Let there be two lights..." and both would work! I was just curious man... I mean I have an F4. My one headlight works all the time. (except when the key is off)
