Yup your battery is dead! You can jump start it. Don't try to bump start it. You most likely will have to charge it. You should get a battery tender to plug it in and keep it charged!! Go to Colemans and buy one. If you need help post up and someone in your area can help.

Yeah, same thing happened to my bike. Keep it charged. Wal-mart sells battery tenders for like $30.

It does sound like the battery - check the leads... However, if the battery isn't dead ie you charge it and nothing works...Look under the clutch perch - there is a small connector that can often come loose..

Your battery is probably frozen. You should put it in the oven. Preheat at 350 and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the leads are a golden brown. If you have a microwave big enough, you can put it in on high for 3-5.

nothing wrong with it... However, if the battery is totally dead- even if you bump the bike - some bikes are NOT able to charge the battery back up. If the battery is low - the bike's charging system can do the job... However, if it's toast - and it can't charge the battery - I have seen where other things start to go wrong.. Digitai Speedo - misfires (electronic fi) - etc....

On bikes with fuel infestation, a dead battery will not be able to bump start the bike! I have tried it on a SV650 and it completly screwed with the electronics. Had to buy a new battery and then take it to a dealer to replace some fuse on it! When we bumped started it it tripped some fuse which caused it to run like it was on a half cylinder.
