Came out of lunch and saw a huge nail sticking out the back of my tires... These are brand new freaking Pilot Powers... What the f-... Already been a bad week.....

The season is almost over... patching should work till next season, but can't ride as hard... getting a new tire.... but its gonna sit through the winter....

Need some advice... should I get it patched or just buy another back tire??

Did you get the tire warrenty when you bought them? Otherwise new tire... Plugs are only a temp fix to get you home, not to go riding around on.

Seriously T, you might get away with it, but why risk it? You are too valuable to US to see anything happen to you... I'm tired of seeing my friends end up in the hospital!!!

Ok. Time to show my ignorance, but since it is so new, can't you put an innertube in it?

With the characteristics of a sportbike, tire fitment to rim, and the type of riding most do on them... I would say no... too easy to bring the tire off the bead IMO

No the tire and wheel are designed as "tubeless". Most mdern tires are designed this way to combat heat problems that can occcur while driving normally. The tire flex creates heat by itself. The tube flexing and moving around inside will creat more heat and possablly of tire failure.
