Exclamation New local cool motorcycle shop in the works! - January 12, 2010, 01:03 PM

Great news. Several of my good friends are in the process of putting a small bike shop together. It's not finalized yet but we hope to have it ready for the warmer weather. It will be a place where you take your bike and the guy at the door looks you in they eye because he owns the place and he hates bullshitters more than you do. Yes, these places do exist although you may have to talk to your grandparents to validate. (Don’t pee pee on this thread because you think xyz “shop” is the best. Your shop will have little in common with this place. I’ve been around the block and I know)

They will take on fabrication projects and breeze through tire changes, oil changes, and other routine maintenance tasks. Jap, HDs, rats, and even eurotrash stuff. They will not adjust the valves on your desmo but they will weld up that bracket you busted on route 211. In-house lathe, press, welders, and such. Winter and long-term storage with battery tender love and weekly start ups will be part of the equation.

I will make special guest appearances at shop but most of my activity there will revolve around debauchery.

More details later. Until then, dream of warmer days:

Nothing is finalized but right now it's in Northern Virginia near a tattoo shop. That way you can get inked up if you decided to wait.

Thanks for the offers but only the shop owners will be touching bikes and such. Regarding the LC4, I'd send it out to a KTM guy.

Shouts out to Corbett. He hooked us up with a potential property and that led us to where we are today. If you need real estate help buy/sell/rent, Corbett is the guy.

Warmer days
