So I put my bike away, flogged the engine, changed the oil, stabiled the gas, charged the battery (thanks steve), put it on pit stands.

Now what do I need to do when I want to get the beast back out?

find your key then:

TCLOCK method from http://gwrra-regionf.org/rider-ed/SafeTCLOCK.html

T -- Tires and Wheels - inspect condition of front and rear tires (pressure, tread), wheels, rims, bearings, and seals

C -- Controls - This covers the condition of levels, cables, hoses, and throttle

L -- Lights - Inspection of battery, lights lenses, reflectors, wiring, and the headlight reflector and aim of the headlight (right/ left & height)

O -- Oil - Check levels and for leaks in Engine oil, Hypoid gear oil, Hydraulic fluid, coolant and fuel

C -- Chassis - Inspect frame, steering head bearings, swingarm, and suspension

K -- Kickstand - Inspect Centerstand and side stand for cracks and bent parts. Maintain proper tension on springs to keep stand in place when folded up.

Good advice Chris.
I like to also check the airbox/filter and exhaust for critters. You'd be surprised where they can get and what damage they can do.
I also change the oil again. If you changed it before you put it away and haven't run it then no need. If you ran the engine the oil has become acidic with age and will break down quickly. No need for a new filter. Just drain and refill the oil.
Change the brake/clutch fluid if you didn't. I like changing the coolant yearly also.
But most important remember that your skills have become rusty.
Take it easy for awhile and practice some drills like panic braking to get you back in the grove...
