MSF and rider education related forum? - May 2, 2012, 07:06 AM

I think it might be helpful to have a sub forum for MSF/rider education topics. Upcoming courses both MSF and otherwise, Ridercoach certification info, new information coming out of MSF related to safety, insurance discounts and vendor discounts for MSF course graduates/coaches, etc etc.

Bump

I have quite a bit of stuff to go in here, but probably wouldn't be well-received in some of the other forums

Thoughts?

Why would it not go well-received in other forums?

Stuff I'm talking about is oriented towards folks who aren't rider coaches

You should start a reddit subforum then not allow people to post in it without moderation.

Well you could post it up to the regular part of the Beginner Biker board.

This is a great idea. I would very much appreciate the benefit of your vast experience/knowledge (no homo). If you don't share because a select few would rather not hear it, then the terrorists win. If you only post it on forums for rider coaches, lots of people that could benefit will never see it.

DOOOO IT

Fitz,

I'd have to agree with SoCal. Anywhere where you post some good info for newer or more experienced riders is doing not only the site some good but the riders that receive the info. Even if it may be just a few that it truly affects.

My girlfriend just took the MSF and since I ride the track only for the moment and talk about trying to use the brake less and less she was baffled when they had a breaking drill lol. She could benefit from some of your info(although she is not on the site at the moment).

Post on my friend, post on....

My experience isn't vast. I've learned a lot since becoming a rider coach . My students, other rider coaches ... All of me give me something new each and every class

Word of caution... I'm not going to publicly drop names but someone we both know has been sued for being a RC who happened to be in the area when a guy crashed. You want more info, call me at my desk.

I would recommend you be very cautious about what you post, acting as a RC or otherwise.

Not much more that can be shared without the person who was involved granting permission.
