So do tell us how you like the FZ1? How's it do on the windy roads?

i have the garmin 60cx and it rocks. the display kind of sucks and is a little hard to read while riding, but i got used to it. it's waterproof and rugged, and what i like best about it is it's portable and small enough that i can take it on the bike, car or hiking. i have street maps for the entire US, europe, and trail maps for the entire US.

not sure what to say about the fz1, other than it's a great all around bike. love the torque, sporty ride and upright seating. hate the twitchy fuel injection throttle response and weak suspension. 04-06 R1 forks, wheels and radial brakes are a direct bolt on, so that's always an option. i bought it for long distance, overnight touring, so i'm not too bothered by the negatives. givi and sw-motech also have good selections of racks and luggages for it, and there are plenty of go-fast mods out there too. another big negative is the terrible resale value. you can get leftover 08's for high 6k's. but it's not a big deal unless your name is scot.
