Aprilia's Multistrada killer - March 1, 2011, 09:18 AM

little early for 2012 spy shots but here is Aprilia's Caponord or Tuareg 1200.
Based on the 1200cc Dorsoduro chassis and engine, it seems pretty clear that Aprilia wants to try take a bite out of Ducatiís Multistrada 1200 market.

Details regarding the bike are still scarce, but evidently bits and pieces about it will filter out over the following months, leading up to itís probable debut at the 2011 EICMA.

They'll need a bike that starts at temps below 35 before they can kill the multi.

If they can do that the market should be easy to invade if the price stays down. Though you get a lot, the multi is up there in terms of price.

I won't believe it till I see it. They may make a better enduro but not a multiple purpose machine like the multistrada. 155hp L twin with ttx ohlins technology and fully automated suspension for $20K. I don't think Aprillia will top that.
