1000rr for rc51 - September 4, 2013, 01:01 PM

i have been tossing around the idea of letting my 07 1000rr go and pick up an RC51 i love the look and prestige that it has but its about 80 lbs heavier and 20 less hp so it a hard decision
any input from other honda riders?

You don't buy a RC51 because you want a bike faster than a 1000RR. You buy a RC51 for the pure sexiness that it is.

Yeah I am old enough to know better. Thing is, I just don't care.

Unless you're racing at the track, I wouldn't be to bothered by the 20hp difference. You only use a fraction on the street (well you're supposed to anyway )

Nothing I say is to be taken seriously.

While I think it's a better bike by far, I can still see the allure of the RC51. It's one of the most soulful souless motorcycles out there.

I use to think the RC51 was sexy...I love the bike but the RSV takes the looks IMO.

60 degree twins don't sound like 90 degree twins....esp when the 90 degree twin has gear driven cams.

RSV is dead sexy, it would be very hard picking one over the other.
