Hey Ryder M, I have a '98 VTR1000 Superhawk. The suspension is the weak link on the VTR. I upgraded my front forks with RaceTech springs and gold valves and replaced my rear shock with a fox twin clicker. It now handles great. I must admit though that the suspension woes were more evident to me because I'm a big guy (6'6", 260Lbs). The motor is very strong, especially in the lower RPM's. The only weak links I know of are the cam chain tensioners (a lot of Honda’s have this problem) and the regulator/rectifier's are a little weak. Both are easily remedied. Other than the above I love my bike. The torque allows you come out of turns like a rocket and it has plenty of power in the top end. Hope this is what you’re looking for. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Randy

Ahhh, the superchicken. Great round town bike, and as noted above can be great canyon strayfers with suspension mods. Wont handle like a 600 due to weight/wheelbase, but you will be more comfortable.

Honda's twins are known for getting hot though.

Good bike to pull you around if you are a little bit heavier than normal. Hard on tires as a track bike because it puts it all down low.

Great wheelie machine though.

thanx guys for the advice , i also talked to one of the team promotion coches about that bike , he said he owned one but on the track with good sticky tires , the frame will flex and load up goin into turns and then rebound on the exit , so i think i'll pass this deal up most likely , sounds like a fun around town bike , but i'm looking for a 600 or a twin i can race next year in ccs so i dont want a bike with weak points , and i'm getting sick of switching my cbr from street to track every other weekend, but i still want a street bike so thats y i havnt taken it off the road completely , thanx again guys
