Ok,
I HAVE to get rid of this ugly fender thing...so, if you know of any good elminators let me know...but for now..this is the only one I could find

Taskmasta...I know you got the aftermarket exhaust...what did you get and do you have an elminator kit on there and if so..which one...

well,

it's a little mor complicated then that..i would have to MAKE a bracket to put the plate on that would fit around the exhuast...

i don't have the tools to do that..

on the rr page a guy is offering to make one for 40 bucks out of aluminum...but it looks a little ...too spaced out or something...i dunno
:dunno:

My friend just put that exact eliminator on his bike. It looks really good. I'd give it a thumbs up.

And by the way it doesn't sit near the tire at all, It is above the fender and the little wheel on the bottom of it allows you to slant it back or forward.

Most exhausts for the RR come with a plate bracket. I know on SBN there was a guy that bought a few pieces from the hardware store and made his own plate bracket; it even flips up. I'll find the pics and post them in here

Here are the pics, and what the guy said you would need. He did NOT post any installation instructions, but I'm sure with someone a bit mechanically savy you could figure it out:

This is for all you guys that want a place to put your plate without spending maaaaaad cash on an eliminator kit AND it looks better (in my opinion).
YOU'LL NEED:
1. Metal pipe brace (about size 40)
2. Small door hinge
3. Four screws, nuts, and accompying washers
4. Drill
5. Marker
6. Zip tie

I think the CW kit looks the best. I'll prob get it when I get around to getting an
aftermarket exhaust. Put a nice powder coat on it.

I have read some post from people who have it and they did say their license plate
rubbed on the rear fender some.

something to consider before getting one.

i thought it was illegal to have a plate that was on a hinge??? i could have sworn i read that somewhere. the cw kit puts the plate on a hinge and and the mount for the plate has a roller on the bottom to ride on the hugger. might want to check the law on that.

the aftermarket exhaust is illegal. so are the turnsignals. if you're gonna break the law, might as well go all the way!
