ok well i got the oil in her, had my bro hold the nose while i attached all the wireing, and started her up. but not too long after SMOKE!!!!!!!!! i instantly killed the motor. and started to think
well i changed the oil and some oil dripped onto the exhaust headers ( but i thought they couldnt have possibly heated up that fast so i thouched thema nd damn they are hot) so it could be that.

you could see some smoke coming from the pipes some but it was really notiacble coming ot from where the gague cluster would be in that gap. it started to smoke first on the right side ( the side i pulled the filter from) whats goin on here, any ideas????, i dont want to have it running too much while its smoking b4 i know the problem.

Try to find where the smoke is originating. If it's oil spilled on the manifold, it's going to smoke for quite a while before it burns off. That's probably what it is. I go through that EVERY time I change my oil...

Yeah, I spill oil on the headers all the time. You can cover the area (of header) with aluminum foil while you change the oil so it doesn't get on the header. I would, but I'm too lazy and let it smoke.
