HEEELP!!! I'm itching for some pocket bike racing but my x7 won't start...and when it does it cuts off right away. I had a bad pull start and I replaced it. Everything else on the bike seems fine, except for my gas tank cover, which is missing....I dropped it somewhere down rt. 50.

There might have been too much oil in the gas mixture, and we've since drained it and put in a leaner mixture...but I still have the same problem.

Any sugestions?

Did you drain the fuel from the carb?
If you didn't the too-rich fuel is still there...

You might as well check inside the carb too. I've had a YZ85 sitting for months and now have a prospective buyer so I had to get it running. It too would fire up and then die after a second. I had to clean the main jet and emulsion tube that it screws into.
