Got bored at work yesterday, and compiled my own version of the checklist.

It's in word and excel format and I haven't PDF'ed it yet so if anyone is interested you can PM me your email address and I'll send it over.

Here is what it looks like.

Enjoy.

Thanks for the stickie Alex. Hopefully this is something newer people can use to get an idea of what they'll need to do to the bike, and bring to the track.

Sorry to be a stickler - this is a great list - but you should probably add "Track/Race Bike"

Hey Ben, great list...you may want to add "Tools specific to wheel removal"

Since various bikes require specific tools? Just a thought!

Yea, at first I made a very high level, then very low level... then I had a version that ended up as both...

Then there was the issue of is this a track day list, or a racer list? Should I include suzuki wheel tools and 36mm sockets... ?

In the end this is more or less a Track Day Checklist (as indicated by the title). For the regular trackday guy who may have never changed wheels at all, or even need tire warmers. And might not know how many laps a tire gets or might even be running his street rubber, or what pressures should be... but could get an idea from this.

Obviously a Race Day Checklist would be much more in depth... and you could make it sheets long, in reality.

This is more or less a high level overview of what you can expect to check off. I have it in MS Word and Excel, anyone is more than welcome to use it, expand it, modify it. I also left empty spaces in each of the tables to accomodate a write-in.

Rob put a cap on word docs at like 19k... so this was far too large to accomodate it.

QFT!

EDIT: That's also why it's in "Track Daze" instead of a Racer sub-forum. I guess I should qualify this with: This is NOT a raceday compilation. It DOES NOT include all the things necessary for competitive road racing and should be reguarded as a good track rider check list.

By the way, for anyone that doesn't know.

GSXR-600/750/1000's, and SV's I believe, of certain years require a "reverse" socket tool to take off the front wheel. You can buy them at Colemans for about $30, but they are a must have for a gixxer owner who changes wheels.

Seen here: http://www.motosport.com/offroad/pro...098&nav=&sMMY=

A few folks have asked for copies of the checklist and I shot them over a few minutes ago. Hopefully they can add to it, and possibly make a Race List.
