Damn that's pretty impressive, especially considering the disadvantage of having almost double the displacement.

Oh, wait...

Right up the 1 hole.

.....and even though he was "fastest" in practice (when you posted) he still managed to stay in the top ten starting positions for the field.

He should be able to do well at this round, if he can keep all of the bodywork on, that is! He could score a top ten finish!

I don't think you realize the number of cylinders has nothing to do with power.

Let me repeat, the number the cylinders has nothing to do with power.

Let me find a great example to make it very very plain for you. If there's any chance you will ever understand, this is your chance. Don't let this one pass you by!!!

http://people.bath.ac.uk/ccsshb/12cyl/

Quote:
The cylinder bore is just under 38" and the stroke is just over 98". Each cylinder displaces 111,143 cubic inches (1820 liters) and produces 7780 horsepower. Total displacement comes out to 1,556,002 cubic inches (25,480 liters) for the fourteen cylinder version.
A 6 cylinder version makes 46,680 horsepower. The 8 cylinder in my car makes 225 horsepower. So therefore the number of cylinders has nothing to do with power.

Bigger cylinders produce more power than smaller ones!!!

An engine with 10 cylinders making 1 HP each;

EQUALS

An engine with 1 cylinder making 10 HP.

10 x 1 = 10

1 x 10 = 10

The number of cylinders has nothing to do with power.
