I admit I am no mechanic, so why does the pipe look like someting from "The Mummy"?

He couldn't afford a new set of head pipes so he made them from vacuum cleaner hose and reinforced them with fiberglass ribbons.

I have always wanted an old tuber. I don't know that I'd own and older tube model as my only bike but it makes a great 4th bike!

Thanks Fbolt. I may bend your ear for some information. I am reading the manual right now. I've wrenched HDs before. Other than working around the frame in some spots...it doesn't look too hard.

Cograts. Funky rear sets. What type of front rotor is that?

looks like an slightly faded EBC. I haven't looked closely at it. Hell, I've been busy all day and haven't really done much with it at all.

Thanks. If you want to do a chain conversion, let me know. I've got the total hook up. Not $$$ and quality stuff.

Would that provide a performance benefit or just permit me to change overall ratios?

Maybe a bit quicker (off the line) but nothing you would notice. I just think belts belong on people, not bikes. Good winter project. http://www.trak-tek.com/products/dri...onversion.html

That looks too simple. Just bolt sprockets in place of pulleys? Only $200?!
