I finally decided on a new pipe along with other performance mods. I had the pipe removed and will send it out to have the work done, purchased the race ecm, k&n filter, along with new "performance" airbox cover. Ran it on the dyno Saturday @ FF Cycle so I have a good baseline. We shall see what $$ can buy.

Hey Fbolt, Do you have any pictures? I have seen more Buells out lately for some reason. I think they like the cold or something?

What is the stock horsepower on your bike?

Three dyno runs:

Roll-on--> 75.~
Through the gears--> 74.~
Roll-on---> 73.~

I don't have the sheet in front of me but that's approx what it was. I feel pretty satisfied with those #'s considering it has 8k miles with the only maintenance being oil and tranny changes. Now that's it's out of commission for a week, I'll change plugs and wires, new brake fluid (pads are ok), and put the new gear on. I'm hoping for 80-82hp. I don't recall torque #'s.

What is the wet weight of the bike? Without all the fairings it looks like it would be pretty light.

Claimed dry weight of 385. I'd say wet-405. Fairings are pretty minimal. Only the front and chin fairings, both colored surlyn. Front fairing bracket is made of magnesium. With the pipe chopped (stocker is 17 lbs.) I should lose ~5+ lbs. of unsprung weight.

Can you run car oil in it and 90 weight (or something similar) in the primary? It is set up the way HDs are in that respect?

Many people, including myself, run 75/90? Mobil 1 syn. gear oil in the tranny. I also add 15/50 Mobil 1 syn in the engine. HD has a syn oil that one can use in both the tranny and engine.

Hey Fbolt.. What 'high performance' air box are you talking about? The 12 air box or something else?

Just curious since I have a few minor alterations to my 'Bolt as well..

Just curious, lemmie know.. we'll have to find a curve or three sometime..

Later.

Busted----the Hi-Perf is the 12 airbox cover.

I still haven't had it re-dynoed. Heck, I barely seem to ride much anymore with the new MotoGP star only 2 mos. old & moving.... I would not recommed this to anyone...
