Used to own a stock Buell S3T which I bought new. Three dealers never got the jetting right so it frequently backfired coming off throttle. It had a 5250RPM limit, combined with a clunky gearbox, and 101 peak HP out of 1200cc. All that for $13,000.

Wonder why I sold it with 5,000 miles on it? I only got $7,500.

I'm never going back to air cooled, nor to Buell. Too many much better bikes for that kind of money. My Hayabusa cost $3,000 less and is loads more fun.

I will say my girlfriend at the time loved riding the S3T with me. Something about the vibration...
