Didn't know this forum existed until yesterday. I'm 26 and been riding for three years now. Located near Westminster, MD. Always down for a ride.

2009 1125CR - 13,5xx miles on her now ...

Welcome. There's a small group of buell riders here now. Austin, myself, McFly, boost, The Bogert... i'm sure i'm missing a few.

Love that color. looks great! What exhaust is that?

Also, with that mileage, and being that it's an 09, have you had any stator/voltage regulator issues?

Seriously though, I don't need anymore power, but a bit more reliability would be nice!

I haven't seen any other Buells in this area ... ever, haha. One of my coworkers has an '08 1125R in Black with the side fairings, and there's a young guy that works at the Jeep dealership in Westminster that rides an XB12S that I know of, but that's it. Does anybody organize any non-hooligan Buell rides on here?

The exhaust is a slipon from the collector back from Barker's Performance. It has about 9,000 miles on it right now so all the packing is blown out sounds like an open header. It's gnarly. I need to get an overhaul kit from Barker's and repack it. Coupled with the EBR ECM with the Barker's tune, it runs like a bat out of hell, and sounds like it, too. I would have went with a Drummer or KEDA Designs, but coupled part with the dough. Maybe one day (though the dyno shootout ASB did says that the Barker's squeezed out a bit more "go" juice than the others ... I still like the look of the Drummer/KEDA deigns more).

Pretty much everything I've done to the CR is in this thread over at SBN.

Yeah, I've run into the dreaded stator death. I think at about 6,000 miles or so? I've had the harness update since 2,000 miles or so. Coming back from my GF's up in Chambersburg, PA down MD 97, CEL came on, "LOW VOLTAGE" on the IC. Switched over to check my VDC: 12.0 ... 11.3 ... 9.0 ... and I think it finally shut off at 8.7 Vdc or so. Had to push it home about two miles. H-D/Buell in Frederick fixed me up, but took a week or so to get the warranty parts. Has been fine ever since, but I still worry about it sometimes. With just a 55W HID kit, low beam only, at a stoplight for more than five minutes and the CEL will pop up again, but will never drop below 12.0 Vdc. I've let it idle for 20 mins in my driveway when we had that heatwave of 100F+, and it never dropped below 12.0 Vdc. So I guess that's a good thing ... until my stator insulation finally burns out which will probably happen right after my warranty expires this Decemeber. My buddy with the '08 R has had no charging system problems as of yet, but he doesn't have the saddle time that I've had on mine.

Oh well ... I've learned to live with it. Just love the bike too much.

That's what I thought, too. I had a 2003 XB9R before I got the CR ... the power's intoxicating, haha.

I'm not usually a fan of Buells, but that is one sexy bike!

Welcome mang. I've chatted with you on Badweb and Buelletein Board. Got my HIDs in thanks to you and that dude Greg.

Welcome! I've seen some a couple XBs around Keymar and Taneytown before, no 1125s though.

Thanks for the compliments. Never been to a bike night or anything -- I don't even know if they have those around here, so I haven't met too many other riders (let alone Buellers) in the area that weren't my friends already.

Good to see another 1125. It would be nice if we could do an all buell ride but I dont think we could all find a good time. Im in Leesburg so if you ever find yourself wanting to head down to this area feel free to send me a msg and ill meet up and ride.
