Question 1st annual Migratory Duc Ride! - September 27, 2006, 09:54 AM

Ok, so here is the official thread for the DUC ride! I figure it should be a lot of fun... and it'll be nice to hear all those twins booming down the road!
The actual rides events are completey up for debate... my idea:
We meet up around 11 or 12... get about 1.5-2 hours riding, eat, ride some more... good way to put faces with names... also good to meet some Duc owners
I put a poll, everyone vote! Also, please post the following:

-Location
-Your riding ability
-Hours willing to spend on Duc Ride
-Suggested restaurants
-Suggested Ride routes

Me:
-Laurel, MD (but I will travel as far as necessary)
-Experienced Rider
-I'll ride all day
-Don't really know Restaurants down south near D.C. but I suggest Annapolis
-Once Again, I know some good back road routes out in Annapolis... we could have fast riders in front and slower riders in rear for back road stretches... it actually works out pretty well.

Bad weekend sir That's the Baltimore/DC Madden Challenge. If I win on Saturday I could go Sunday. Otherwise I have to be in FedEx Field.

BTW - I love the Annapolis idea. I'd love to have a huge flock DUCS flying down there. I'd be coming from Baltimore... I'm no knee dragger, but have been riding over a year.

Hmmm... bad weekend huh? WTF is the Madden challenge BTW?
Ok, anyone else have trouble with this weekend, lemme know... we'll work it out for whatever day will get us there with the most Duc's possible.

Madden challenge is a big John Madden football tournament.

It appears that I am going to be a victim of the notorius Ducati "Parts on Order Forever" syndrome. I have half my bodywork at the paint shop and the other stuff I need has been on order since August 16th. I may see if anyone wants to do a run through the George Washington National Forest next spring. Unless God smiles upon me in the next two weeks. You wont miss me if I can make it because my 749 will look similar to this.

Well the paint shop said they would have my stuff done in two weeks. I have no clue about my mirrors but I still have the bat ears I bought last year until my SBK mirrors come in. I am keeping my fingers crossed but I wont hold my breath on going. There is something similar going on through Ducati.ms btw.
