Talking Another Duc - November 19, 2007, 12:02 PM

I'm phasing out of the hard-core track scene, sold my racebike and another bike I had but hardly ever rode, and picked up this 998 a few days ago. It's my 3rd Duc, I had a 916 a few years back and my only complaint was a slow-revving, lethargic motor (read: slow). The 998 addresses that, the motor spins up quicker and is much more lively (read: faster). I love the desmo twins, they sound so mechanical and make such a racket. I need to get an open clutch cover asap, gotta hear that clutch rattling also.

My new toy:

I agree with you about the sound!

Puurdy. I eyebawled a red 998 parked on M St this morning. Maybe one of these days all the Duc owners can get together for a snob ride.

As I am a V-twin aficionado myself, I must say that I am indeed jealous.
