Dumb issues with quality control. At least I haven't had any issues with my 1199. All recalls are done on my bike as well.

Yes, because no other manufacturer has ever had to issue a recall.

Very true...but 6 in the first year? I remember the 1098 and 848s had issues their first years too, but not 6 worth recalls

-Craig

Confusing the issue, since before you were ugly.

Woody: i'd probably bang her if she didn't look like a man

These two look pretty serious...

#1 – Summary:
DUCATI IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2012 PANIGALE MOTORCYCLES BECAUSE OF AN INCORRECT SCREW USED TO RETAIN THE SWINGARM TO THE REAR SUSPENSION LINKAGE.
Consequence:
IF THE LINKAGE DETACHES FROM THE SWINGARM, CATASTROPHIC SUSPENSION COLLAPSE WOULD OCCUR AND ADVERSELY AFFECT THE ABILITY TO SAFELY HANDLE THE MOTORCYCLE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

#5 – Summary:
Ducati is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 1199 Panigale motorcycles manufactured from March 16, 2012, through July 12, 2012. The right and left swingarm shaft pivots can loosen.
Consequence:
The swingarm shaft pivots can loosen from the swingarm which can lead to loss of control of the motorcycle, increasing the risk of personal injury.

They really arent that serious guys... Its not like con rod bolts are bad and lunching motors.. ie BMW, Kawi, or gulping down massive amounts of oil like the CBR's did.. I dont think there have been any cases of the "possibilities" actually happening.. could be wrong, but I havent heard of any. Everyone has issues like this on new bikes.. nothing new there.
