Anyone know if it voids the Ducati warranty?

I'm running dual 55W 5K DDM tuning slim ballast HIDs on my MTS1200... I don't need high beams anymore. It doesn't void warranty.

Doesn't void warranty but some VA inspection stations may not pass it as it is not a factory installed option. I know you weren't asking but thought I would throw it out there. I have a bi-xenon 35W H4 on my 'Fighter at 6K and it just about matches the color of the LED's on the headlamp as well.

It shouldn't void it unless it is causes a direct failure.. In other words, if your electrical system goes up in smoke, and you wired this into it... Just about every factory warranty is like that.

I personally like 6k (tint of blue) slim ballast. I don't recommend high beams as you may not be able to flash quickly if needed. I never needed HID on hi beam as these are pretty bright.

I'm using the same thing on my Monster. I only have them on the low beam though.

Awesome, thanks for the info. Looking at the 35W 5000 H11.

HID Kits, BMW Aftermarket Bumpers & Lighting, DEPO - DDM Tuning

Thoughts/Advice?

I only have them on the low beam as well but the Multistrada comes with two low beams and two high beams.

5K looks more like oem HID. 6K starts to give that blue hue which I don't like. However don't be afraid to go with the 55W. It makes a huge difference in lighting and does not get hot. I have run the same kit on my gixxer, cbr1000, and now the MTS. The ballasts are the same size as well.

Here is a vid of my HIDs. If you notice the right side has a bluish hue to it. I wanted to try out an ebay HID kit everyone was raving about. Didn't like it that much. It was a 55W 5K as well.
