Good bikes, very pretty, some people think they are exclusive and therefore better . Pick a reason. I'd choose one because they're damn near the only vtwins left, and torque is very nice

Confusing the issue, since before you were ugly.

You can't deny the low end power of their twins, they make any I-4 bike feel like a turd (even though the twins lack up top where the 4's shine).

Honestly I have only taken a liking to Ducati in the past two years or so. Their Diavel and the 2nd gen Multistrada are by far their most innovative bikes I think. The 848 streetfighter is a great piece of machinery as well. As far as their superbikes go, I'm not really interested in them. For the price I think there are better options out there considering the expense of fixing them if you track/race and have a tendency to crash lol. If I had a ton of money and it wasn't a concern I'd love to track a 848 though.

Thanks for the info.

I wont track whatever I get other than a possible track day. I just thought I'd ask since several co-workers suggested it. I hadn't really considered it but will give Ducati a serious look before buying now.

If it's your first bike then I would say go Japanese though. If not then go see Duc Pond. They'll hook you up!

Whatever I decide this will be my 3rd street bike, 4th if you include what I raced.

So having ridden an 03 R6, 99 ZX6R (raced), and 2010 VFR800 and at this point I'm looking for something refined, FAST, and balanced. I've been eying a 07-08 R1 but thought I'd give Ducati a look too.

Looks count and my personal preference is for Yamaha and Ducati. I've considered Suzuki but am still trying to decide if I like the colors.

The free starbucks will pay for itself in a few years and you can't wear ducati shirts, belt buckles, combs, jeans, shoes, and hats without actually owning one.
