Go to http://www.ohlins.com/mc_manuals.shtml for a great on-line PDF library of basic Ohlins products, from forks, to dampers, to shocks, including basic suspension theory. Click on the "Motorcycles" tab to get more product information, including a really cool fitment page that allows you to click on any shock so that the photo expands and you can click on individual parts to get an explanation about what it does and how it works.

These are all the suspension manuals that you should have received with your Ducati...but didn't.
