This new motard fad seems to be defined by words like 'hooliganism', 'unique', 'antisocial', which in turn tend to be defined by unresistable wheelies and stoppies. Are these bikes just a glorified and easier to stunt versions of a sportbikes? Is this what people will use them for, even though sportbikes already make good stunters? What are they used for otherwise, considering their short rainge, and inability to handle the fast speeds (which get you outside of the city to the twisty roads.) Why are people who chastise sportbike stunters get these bikes and all the sudden talk about how they can't resist wheelies, stoppies, etc?

Weird.

No...they wheelie easier because they are lighter but the type of riding is very different.

With a supermoto you can not only carve up twisty roads...you can jump, ride on the dirt, back the bike in...etc...etc...

In the case of the hyper, jumps are a bit limited as are dirt riding but the bike is crazy when it comes to a twisty road. As far as wheelies...the hyper is an 1100cc twin and mine makes 90 ft/lbs of torque just over 4000 rpm...basically the same amount of torque as a liter bike but at more than half the rpm faster so it's basically no effort to wheelie the bike.

You can stunt anything...with a motard the stunts are just part of how you ride the bike, they're not something you really need to put much effort to do.

Any posted on your site? I still like the jump in hawaii... the hand turning the damper up was a classic touch...
