Already in another thread...but I'll be damned if that thing doesn't deserve 50 of its own threads.

Amazing, absolutely amazing.

Problem is, the purists are going to shoot it down in a heartbeat. Too many people feel that SMs should be strictly based on production MX machines, and not purpose built as a streetbike. I can see the fine line beginning to blur between your streetfighter-type machines and the new breed of supermoto.

There is, in fact, a new breed of supermoto out there. This is an example, as is the KTM 950 and the Yamaha MT-03. I only wish more people would open their eyes to it.

Right up the 1 hole.

How much do you think this bike would cost?? Would it be supermoto affordable or ducati exclusive?

There's no suggested price yet, as it's still a concept. They're calling it a "hyper-motard"

the downside is that if you fall over, you probably can't say, as woody did last week or so, "eh, that's the good thing about a supermoto".
ducati will probably put some stuff on there that is meant to break if you sneeze on the bike, and they will sell the replacement part for 1/4 of the bike's value.

More thoughts:

The rear wheel makes me cry.

It all goes back to a light bike with power in the right place.

If you wheelie on it I assume you have to get your valves checked every 200 miles.

I've got money smoking in my pocket.
