Lightbulb What Ducati are in stock? - November 9, 2006, 10:31 AM

I'm really chomping at the bit for a new bike. Part of me wants to wait for the 1098, but another part of me thinks I'd be happy with a new one provided I got a smashing deal on it. I'm can't go to all the dealers personally and check them out, so I'm looking for some help. What SBK's and SS's are in your local dealer? Up here in Baltimore we have Speed's Cycle. They have a black 999 for I think $15k and a red 07 SS800 for list.

Thanks!

Coleman's Powersports has a couple 999R, 749's and a large Duc stock in general... I know they have a nearly mint 998 sitting on the floor... used, but it's beautiful and low mileage.

Personally, if I was gonna spend 15, I would wait for the 1098... why pay for something sub par when you can get the upgrade for the same price.

No doubt. But I heard a rumor about a $12k 999 and that would have me interested.

I got an e-mail from Greg at Coleman's. They've got a 749, a 999s and 2 999r's. They didn't tell me prices or colors.

They say the 1098 will be on the showroom floor in February. It's so very tempting. I'd only do one of these other bikes if I could get a great deal.

Winchester Motorsports sold their Ducati dealership to Donnie Unger of Duc Pond Racing, which is now Duc Pond Motorsports. To include all stock that Winchester had. For those that don't know, Duc Pond is in Winchester also. In regards to Duc Pond, nobody in the region knows Ducati's better than Donnie Unger. If you ever watch him work you will not doubt this. He is first and for most a racer. Winning several (over 10) championships on Ducati's.

Also for those that are familar Duc Pond know that he does good work but has a history of not being quick. That was when he was doing it in his part time. He has quit his full time job and is doing it full time. That means he gets bikes done fast. When I went out there last Saturday, he didn't even have any bike waiting on service. So if you are thinking of getting Ducati service he can help, and do it right and do it fast.
