Question 07 zx10 Brake "Click" - August 22, 2010, 12:30 PM

Hi all, I just installed new tires and mounted everything up. I now notice a slight "click" from down there (not there, on the bike ) when I hold the front brake in and compress the forks hard. I notice it after the forks compress a little, but while still on their way down. Not every time, though. I know the rotors float a little, and hope that is it and that I am just being paranoid. Everything up front has been torqued to spec and re checked.
Anyone else notice this on a zx10 or any other bike?

Don't want to say for sure obviously but it sure sounds like just a normal floating rotor click. My R6 did the same thing.

Thats what I'm thinking. Although, it isn't until you tear something apart that you notice "normal" sounds and get suspicious. I'll have to grab a buddy and get them to work the suspension the same way while I listen. My wife tried, but I think she moved more than the bike did

Bah! Not the brakes like I thought. Seems to be coming from the fork(s) when they change direction (compression to extension). I looked at the exploded view, but don't see any check valves/ floating piston/ etc. that would easily explain it.
(serious) opinions?

The manual doesnt really say. Is "adjusting the steering play" the same as tightening the bearing?
