Is there anywhere documented that says how many miles this bike will do once the fuel light comes on? Let's say under easy throttle for arguments sake...I was told once before 35 but I want to know what others think...

I think that's about right...maybe a little less. I never notice mine, so I panic and get gas right away cause I tend to think it's been on for a while.

That sounds about right... but I really don't trust that light... I would get gas right away if possible.

it also depends on how you're riding it.

Tip: if it dies after the light has been on awhile, don't try to restart it.

From: http://www.zxforums.com/forums/zx-6r...erage-mpg.html

My gas light comes on and I always try to ride it to about 150 miles per tank before refueling, and I can only get 3.6 gallons in. So there is potential to keep riding for the other .9 gallons, but you need to remember that you won't be able to get the full 4.5 gallons of fuel out of your tank. And no, there is no reserve on the 07's and 08's. Not sure about previous years.

No reserve on the '05 & '06's either.

This is an ambiguous question and answer operiod. None of us are the same weight, Ride the same way, have the same traffic patterns, nor have the same earthly terrain. is is a guess at best to speculate what "everyone" would average. Me my self since I'm a fat bastard, would probably average another 25-35 miles depending on wind resistance!

R.I.P. Eric. You were truly like a younger brother to me. May you live on in all those you helped and reached out to help. You are truly missed!

tfinch: well, actually, if he did, that's fine cause it's in the pockets!

: Mike, can you feel bubbles floating around in there?

tfinch: Bubbles! Yes! Gurgly bubbles!
