Rotella is the best conventional oil you can buy. If you want synthetic, I recommend either Motul or Mobil 1 in the red cap

now boom, i hear alot about synthetic vs. regular oil. it appears to be individual preference for most riders, i have heard alot of shop mechanics advise against synthetic unless you have an old model bike.

You should change which mechanics you talk to...don't use synthetic on an old bike that's never had it.

on a newer bike, use it after the bike breaks in(3k miles is my rule of thumb). your bike will shift better, last longer and make more horsepower

I wouldn't call those options a matter of preference

And the best synthetic you know of? And which ever it is should I change the oil immediatley I only have about 200 miles to this new oil, or will it be okay to wait till the next change to switch over to full synthetic?

no need to stop, drop and roll...wait until you need an oil change. If you want the best...Motul...if you want fantastic at a reasonable price...Mobil 1
