Fuel pressure releasing - July 17, 2006, 10:04 PM

Wondering if this is normal or atleast common problem with the ZX 6. After the bike is shut off and is cooling down, fuel pressure is releasing from the fuel cap, it is making a kinda loud hissing noise and it is driving me crazy. May be normal, don't know.

My bike run's on snake oil.... thanks to BG.

Mine does the same thing, but not all of the time...if it isn't normal, then we both have a problem.

Have not gotten that far in the manual yet, but pretty sure fuel injected bikes don't have a petcock.... if it does, I have not found it yet

Heh. Petcock.

The 6R doesn't have one.

This is pretty common in Kawasakis. I had 3 Kawis and all of 'em does the whistling fuel pressure release by the cap. I wouldn't worry about it.
