just kidding...

hey steve... how do you do a stand up wheelie? i tried once... i went to second hit about 10,000 rpm bounced bike and twisted throttle while standing... bike began coming up but i got scared because the bike came up steady and i was leaned back... so if i continued that way i would of looped (i think)...

this was done safely on a dead end road on the backroads of Pluto where no one lives...

i just heard that one should not do standups in first gear...

i dont care

I'm the wrong person to ask about stand-ups...they feel kinda funny to me too!
get someone to take a pic of you doing them. I did and saw I was nowhere near to looping out...I was actually leaning way forward. Sure felt like I was gonna loop.
But second is usually better because the front doesn't come up so fast...

ok next time i go out ill try... but i need lotsa room for the ones i try i think... cuz im in like 9,000 rpm in second gear...

but i read a Tod Colbert instructional thread... where he says... clutch up in first then as soon as bike lifts, clutch into second and hold in second... thats where u supposedly stand up too... but i got a long way to go... im getting way ahead of myself cuz i cant hold first gear very long yet...

that wheelie school supposedly on the 11th, i dont think its gonna be quite kosher that day... weather.com says 38 degrees high... im just getting ansy... i just want to ride again...

No kidding about this weather...bring on the heat!
I don't clutch mine up for wheelies...haven't been able to figure out how to be consistant. I'm hoping this summer I'll have Trick and Ronnie give me some pointers...I'd really like to get mine up while in 3rd.
Come on summer...practice makes perfect!
I'll let you know when we are gonna set up a practice day.

Everything...can't do 'em!
Trick...the advice about doing the 12's on a 4-wheeler was great. Had a blast but my back was sore from looping it so many times! You gotta see the pics...

I'll try to go this week and get them put on a disc. Think circus clown on a little bike and that will get you started in the right direction...
