Question ZX10 Dash: Adjust Brightness? - September 21, 2009, 11:49 AM

I found out by accident that you can adjust the brightness of the gauges on my '07 ZX10. I can't find how to do it in the FSM, but if I mess with it there are 3 different levels. Anyone know the EXACT way to do this? I change it by accident every so often. Just curious.....

damn im late to reply...

But..

You hold down the left button first...then you press the right button and it will click down 3 levels dim.....

You do know you can adjust the redline (yellow) shift light also right?
You hold down both buttons for about 3 seconds and the rpm gauge do a systems check then you can adjust it by using just on button.

LOL, JWZ! I'm never looking through your manual for anything. Ever.
It isn't in my manual, nor the service manual that I can find. Thanks Von, now I can reset my trip meter w/o blinding myself at night!

the only thing that sucks is that it goes back to full bright default every time you restart the bike.

I think 06 zx10 was the first to have the dimer. I think my 05 636 had it also...cant remember.
