New beginings - January 25, 2009, 06:21 PM

Well the last time i saw my bike was probably like 3 years ago at least.
I raced MX and Hairscrambles on a 2000 RM125.

Modifications at the time

wiseco piston
Cometic gaskets
FMF fatty
FMF shorty silencer
DID Chain
Sprockets
and tires which i do not remember

Since i got into cars and eventually into street bikes. the RM sat for many many long time. Well decided since my car is stock, i sold my gixxer and my project car is sitting pretty until the weather gets warmer, i'm going to rebuild the MX bike and get back on two wheels

Drove over to my garage ripped everything apart and brought back her heart for surgery

starting look

yes that is ANTIQUE dirt and mud from my last race at buddscreek some 3 years ago or so.

start with plug removal to get an indicator of the damage

holy shit that don't look good.

lets continue

old sprocket (front)

clutch side

doesn't seem like i took any piston pics and such

wrist pin was corroded into place and i had to tap it with a hammer to get it out and remove the piston. crank looks like crap and was rather frozen in place. with lots of WD-40 things go moving again and everything seems to be ok. more pics of the on going rebuild to come.

parts in waiting

Wiseco pro-lite piston
Cometic top end gaskets
DID gold chain
Turner Sprockets front and rear (+2 or 3 i can't remember)
