I'm looking for a little help on trying to fiqure out which year SV would make the best track bike . Which years had the problems which one weighs the least . What are some issues with making these track bikes like suggested aftermarket parts . All help is apperciated.

Weight differences between them aren't even worth considering. From what I've heard the older ones tend to handle a little better. The new ones have a little more power because of FI. A new one is more likely to break a crank particularly if you build the motor.

hey thanks for the insight SVbadguy seems like you are pretty well versed in the SV . If you come across anyone with a good bike for the price like the one you linked please let me know.
